Polaris Recalls Ranger And General Utility, ATVs

July 2020 Powersport News

Polaris is calling back some Ranger and General Utility vehilces and other ATVs and cited risks of crashing.

The recall includes about 26,730 units of Model Year 2019-2020 Ranger XP 1000 & Model Year 2020 General XP 1000 Utility vehicles, and Model Year 2018-2020 Polaris Phoenix 200 ATVs.

In the case of the Ranger and Genreal Utility vehicles, the potential crash hazard is because the throttle may fail to return to the idle position after stalling and the engine may start in gear.

For the Phoenix 200 ATVs, the throttle level stop can fail due to damage caused in shipping.

There were no reports of injury from the recalled models.
