ATV Event To Celebrate 10 Years In Idaho

March 2019 Powersport News

ATV and UTV event Rally In The Pines will be celebrating 10 years in Idaho this July. Over the last 10 years, the event has seen many changes and has grown into one of the largest recreational motorsports events in the country.

Located in Salmon, ID, the event draws ATV and UTV riders from all over North America. And with good reason as Idaho is one of the best and most beautiful states to ride in.

Along with offering guided rides, the Rally In The Pines will be bringing back the ATV and UTV parade this year. It will be held down the main street of Salmon. This parade will have decorated ATVs and side-by-sides, most of whom will be tossing candy, hats, frisbees and such to the crowd as they come down the street. The parade this year will be on Friday, July 12, at 7 p.m. The creativity of many of the entries in the parade is spectacular. In years past, Fred and Wilma Flintstone, choo choo trains, alien spaceships, roman chariots and so much more has graced the streets in the parade.

This year the “Best Decorated” parade entry will receive a custom trophy and a set of Sedona Tires for their ATV or side-by-side. Thanks to Sedona Tire & Wheel. The parade is open to the public and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Other activities include races at the fairgrounds, one that has giant 6-foot beach balls and soccer balls that the contestants will push with their ATV or UTV down a race course and into a giant soccer goal at the far side. The first one to get the soccer ball into the goal will move ahead in the competition. And there will be prizes and trophies for the winners.

Because this is the 10th anniversary of Rally In The Pines, many new things are being planned. The largest is an indoor ATV and UTV Haunted Obstacle Course. This is the first ATV/UTV Obstacle Course of its kind. The course will be in set up in the new indoor arena at the Lemhi County Fairgrounds. It will feature many fun obstacles for everyone to maneuver their ATV and side-by-side around, over and through. Then to make it really unique, it will be haunted. So expect strobe lights, fog, ghosts and the occasional scare. The Haunted Obstacle Course is sponsored by another excellent company, Titan Fuel Tanks.

Over the years Rally In The Pines has provided fun for thousands of ATV and UTV enthusiasts and the 10th anniversary will be better than ever.

Registration is open for the event. For more information, visit www.rallyinthepines.com
