High/Low/Reverse/Park With Electronic On-Demand AWD
The rugged transaxle system on the drivetrain features High range, Low range, Neutral, Reverse and Park. Electronically selectable on-the-fly 2- and 4-wheel-drive is bolstered by selectable 4WD differential locking to achieve the desired traction and drive control in varying conditions.
850 Engine
Designed and built by Textron Motors, the twin-cylinder 846cc SOHC engine incorporates key features and technology for powering Stampede models, including an Electronic Fuel Injection system for quick throttle response and improved fuel economy, a dry-sump oil system that creates lower oil temperatures, less friction and increased oil life and a forged crankshaft, camshaft and connecting rods for added durability. It produces 80 horsepower and 59-ft.-lbs. of torque. It’s liquid-cooled with an auxiliary fan for consistent performance in all conditions.
Electronic Power Steering (EPS)
Electronic Power Steering provides varying electronic steering assist depending upon conditions, effort and speed. An Electronic Control Unit measures steering input force in relation to vehicle speed and tire resistance in order to provide the appropriate assist to the steering column via an electronic brushless motor. The varying levels of assist translate into a light steering input effort, especially when in 4WD with a locked differential, but with optimal feedback so that the rider senses the tire contact with the terrain.
Four-Wheel Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 9.5-inch steel rotors on each wheel deliver enhanced braking performance and feel, effectively controlling all four wheels during deceleration.
Double A-arm Suspensions
Double A-arm front and rear suspension deliver premium comfort and control in a full-range of terrain conditions via optimized geometry and 9.5 inches of front and 10.5 inches of rear travel. Front and rear swaybars enhance positive cornering.
600-Lb. Capacity Rear Cargo Box With Fast-N-Latch
A versatile tilting rear cargo box offers 600 lbs. of gear-carrying capacity and versatility, with integrated tiedown hooks for added ease. The versatile Fast-N-Latch system works in tandem with many accessories to provide quick and secure attachment while maximizing bed space.
2-inch Rear Receiver
A rugged, automotive-style 2-inch rear receiver hitch simplifies towing applications.
Extended Cab
The one-of-a-kind extended cab provides additional space to load and secure gear that you want to keep separate from the cargo bed box. Drop-down access panels ease loading/unloading gear.
Underseat Storage (4 And 4X)
Four-passenger Stampede models feature 6 cu.-ft. of storage space located under the front bench seat.
Full-Sized Doors
Large, automotive-style doors offer a 10-sq.-ft. opening, easing getting into and out of every Stampede model. Impact and corrosion-resistant, they’re built safe, durable and easy to clean.
Hood Rack
Integrated into the cowl, the convenient front hood rack contains gear with raised sides and multiple tie-down points.
Customizable Speed Controller
A customizable electronic speed controller allows the operator to set a maximum top speed from 26 to 55 mph (in 1-mph increments) via the dash gauge to ensure that Stampede models are operated at the appropriate speed for the driver as well as the task.
