More Details On 2019 Can-Am Outlander Family - Part 2

July 2018 Feature

CAN-AM OUTLANDER DPS 570/DPS 450

The Can-Am Outlander DPS 570 and 450 packages, complete with segment-leading performance, provide some enhancements over the base Outlander models, including Dynamic Power Steering, a Visco-Lok QE front differential, cast-aluminum wheels, larger magneto and additional colors.

- Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)

The Tri-Mode DPS system features three modes (MIN, MED and MAX) allowing riders to select the desired amount of steering assist to adjust to the terrain requirements and to his riding style. All modes offer less assist at high speed to keep maximum steering feel to the rider and more assist at low speed to reduce steering effort.

- Visco-Lok QE front differential

The Can-Am Visco-Lok QE (Quick Engagement) system is one of the most consumer friendly designs on the market, as the progressively and automatically locking front differential system requires no additional buttons to push or levers to hold. Once 4x4 is selected, the system intelligently transfers power from the slipping front wheel to the opposing wheel with traction and is not hampered by speed or rev limiters. The QE version progressively transfers the power even quicker.

- 12-inch cast-aluminum wheels with centreless design

Centreless 12-inch (30.5 cm) cast-aluminum wheels offer a stylish, unique look and reduced weight but improved strength in strategic areas. They are adorned with 25-inch (66 cm) Carlisle Trail Wolf tires.

- Steel racks with LinQ quick-attach accessory system

The Outlander ATVs have front and rear steel racks. Due to its slightly shorter stance and steel racks, the Outlander vehicles offer the rider improved sight lines while driving without the front rack loaded. The integrated LinQ quick-attach accessory system offers convenient and adaptable cargo hauling capabilities and works with numerous Can-Am rack accessories.

- 360-lb. (163 kg) combined rack capacity

The Outlander ATVs are made to work, with 360-pound (163 kg) combined rack capacity. They can tote up to 120 lbs (54 kg) up front and another 240 lbs. (109 kg) on the rear rack.

- 2.9 Gallon (10.9 L) water-resistant rear storage compartment

The Outlander ATVs have a convenient, 2.9 gallon (10.9 L) water-resistant rear storage compartment located on the rear rack.

- 500-W Magneto

This package provides a more powerful magneto with a 500-W power output. Extra output to power accessories like added lights or heated grips.

- Multi-function digital gauge

Tells the rider everything in one easy glance. The easy-to-read multi-function gauge is equipped with a digital information center, including a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meter, gear position, hour meter, engine hour meter, temperature and engine lights, fuel gauge and clock.

- 70-W lighting

Equipped with dual 35-W front headlights with selectable high and low beams for superb visual clarity.

- Large 5.4 Gallon (20.5 L) Fuel Tank

Ride longer and get the job done with the large-capacity fuel tank.

- Colors available

Choose from Orange or Green as standard plastic choices and the optional, industry-exclusive water-dipped Mossy Oak Break-up Country Camo.

CAN-AM OUTLANDER 850/650

The new Outlander 850 joins the Outlander 650 ATV as point-of-entry models designed with the Outlander family’s revised suspension, width and styling—complete with mudguards and new grille—to enhance the vehicle’s class-leading power, precision handling, notable reliability and no compromise makeup.

- 2 Rotax V-Twin engine options

The new Outlander 850 ATV is powered by a 78 hp, liquid-cooled, 80 degree 854cc V-twin engine, which is the most powerful engine in its category. Designed to compete and beat 700-class competitive ATVs, the Outlander 650 ATVs rules its class thanks to its hearty 650cc liquid-cooled Rotax V-Twin powerplant that produces 62 hp.

- NEW Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI) rear suspension

The new TTI rear suspension is designed to eliminate scrub and camber changes when the suspension works up and down and keep the quad in a straight line. The rear suspension also has motion-control shocks and offers 9.9 inches (25.1 cm) of travel. It includes a removable external sway bar and lower pivot points for geometric squatting to improve traction and power transfer.

- NEW Arched double A-arm front suspension with dive-control geometry

An all-new arched double A-arm front suspension with 9.2 inches (23.3 cm) travel, arched A-arms and an integrated sway bar offers unmatched handling while maintaining comfort.

- 12-inch (30.5 cm) steel wheels

Can-Am designers equipped the base Outlander 650 with 12-inch painted black steel wheels.

- High-strength multi-function racks with LinQ quick-attach accessory system

High-strength, reinforced composite racks feature an integrated anti-skid surface and elevated ridges for improved cargo holding. Predetermined “cutouts” were also added for use with the exclusive Can-Am LinQ quick-attach accessory system, which is adaptable and customizable for various uses and products. The racks have a combined rack capacity of 300 lbs. (100 front/200 rear) or 135 kg (45 front/90 rear).

- NEW Mudguards

Mudguards run on the wheel wells to complete the premium look and give the rider further protection from the mud.

- Water-resistant rear storage box

A huge 5.7 gallon (21.4-liter) rear storage box offers exceptional cargo capacity and is located beneath the rear cargo rack. The more convenient location means riders can access the water-resistant, sealed storage box even when the rear cargo rack is loaded.

- Radio Frequency (RF) Digitally Encoded Security System (D.E.S.S.)

The RF D.E.S.S. requires a specific key to operate the vehicle. Each all-terrain vehicle includes both a performance key and regular key. Can-Am is the only manufacturer to offer a factory-installed anti-theft device as standard equipment.

- NEW Stylish design

For 2019, the Outlander 850 and 650 ATVs feature revised styling that takes subtle influences from the highly-popular and formidable Can-Am Maverick X3 side-by-side vehicle. Its muscular façade includes a more seamless makeup and low profile, multi-function cargo racks with a special anti-slide surface. Almost no apparent fasteners translate to a cleaner look.

- Color Available

The Outlander 850 and 650 base ATVs come in Viper Red.

CAN-AM OUTLANDER 570/450

The Can-Am Outlander 570 and Outlander 450 ATVs are also available in a budget-friendly package that is outfitted with many of industry leading performance pillars but lacks some innovative engineering features found on the DPS and XT packages. The base Outlander 570 and Outlander 450 vehicles differ from the Outlander 650 in that they have steel racks, reduced onboard storage and do not include D.E.S.S.

- 2 Rotax engines

Select from either a 38 hp single-cylinder, liquid-cooled Rotax 450 four-stroke or a 48 hp, liquid-cooled Rotax 570 V-Twin.

- Visco-Lok auto-locking front differential

The Visco-Lok front differential system progressively transfers power from a slipping front wheel to the gripping one—automatically with no buttons to push or levers to pull.

- Double A-arm front suspension

The front double A-arm suspension supplies dive-control geometry for better cornering and vehicle-braking dynamics. The 9 inches (23 cm) of suspension travel increases trail comfort and capabilities in rough terrain.

- Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI) rear suspension

With far less moving parts than competitive systems, TTI is designed to eliminate scrub and camber changes when the suspension works up and down and keep the quad in a straight line. The rear suspension also has motion-control shocks and offers 8.8 inches (22 cm) of travel. It includes a removable external sway bar and lower pivot points for geometric squatting to improve traction and power transfer.

- 12-inch (30.5 cm) steel wheels/25-inch (63.5 cm) tires

Wrapped in 25-inch Carlisle Trail Wolf Tires, the 12-inch steel wheels on the Outlander vehicles provide rugged performance in tough terrain and changing conditions. A bigger tire design helps you easily overcome obstacles as you ride.

- Steel racks with LinQ quick-attach accessory system

The Outlander models have front and rear steel racks. Due to its slightly shorter stance and steel racks, the Outlander vehicles offer the rider improved sight lines while driving without a loaded front rack. The integrated LinQ quick-attach accessory system offers convenient and adaptable cargo hauling capabilities and works with numerous Can-Am rack accessories.

- 360 lb. (163 kg) combined rack capacity

The Outlander ATVs are made to work, with 360 lbs. (163 kg) combined rack capacity. They can tote up to 120 lbs. (54 kg) up front and another 240 lbs. (109 kg) on the rear rack.

- 1,300-lb. (590 kg) towing capacity

The Outlander ATV offers an impressive, 1,300 lb. (590 kg) towing capacity and a standard 2 inch (5 cm) receiver hitch.

- 2.9-Gal. (10.9 L) water-resistant rear storage compartment

A convenient, 2.9 gallon (10.9 L) water-resistant rear storage compartment, located on the rear rack, is standard.

- 400-W Magneto

This package provides a 400-W magneto, enough to power accessories like extra lights or heated grips.

Equipped with dual 35-W front headlights, with selectable high and low beams, for superb visual clarity.

- Available Colors

Choose between Green and Viper Red for the base (non DPS) models.
