Separate front and rear hand brake controls, aluminum pre-runner front bumper and full skid plate, Can-Am X-Team-inspired painted plastic and sponsor decals enhance the racing-inspired package.

Performance

- NEW Rotax V-Twin engine

The muscular 91 hp, 976cc liquid-cooled eight-valve Rotax V-twin engine in the Outlander 1000R ATV provides unbeatable performance.

Handling

- Fox Performance Series 1.5 Podium RC2 piggyback adjustable shocks

Mated to the newly revised front arched A-arms and rear TTI suspension, these high-performance shocks have high-and low-speed compression, rebound and preload adjustments to allow riders the flexibility of tuning the suspension to fit the terrain and riding style. Proven in challenging racing environments in the woods and desert, the Fox Performance Series 1.5 Podium RC2 piggyback shocks also enhance the ATV’s handling and performance.

- NEW Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI) rear suspension

The new TTI rear suspension is designed to eliminate scrub and camber changes when the suspension works up and down and keep the quad in straight line. The rear suspension also has motion-control shocks and offers 9.9 inches (25.1 cm) of travel. It includes a removable external sway bar and lower pivot points for geometric squatting to improve traction and power transfer.

- NEW Arched Double A-arm front suspension with dive-control geometry

An all new arched double A-arm front suspension with 9.2 inches (23.3 cm) of travel and an integrated sway bar offers unmatched handling while maintaining comfort.

- NEW Selectable riding modes

The new Can-Am Outlander ATVs with the 91 hp Rotax V-Twin engine feature intelligent Throttle Control (iTC) and three operating modes (Standard, Sport and Work) to provide smooth throttle delivery for recreational endeavors, work and when hauling loads and riding with passengers. Sport mode supplies max power, torque and response while the other modes (Standard and Work) are designed to smooth throttle control even more in working situations or navigating challenging terrain with a passenger.

- Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)

The Tri-Mode DPS system features three modes (MIN, MED and MAX) allowing riders to select the desired amount of steering assist to adjust to the terrain requirements and to his riding style. All modes offer less assist at high speed to keep maximum steering feel to the rider and more assist at low speed to reduce steering effort.

- Visco-Lok QE front differential

All DPS-equipped models come with the Visco-Lok QE calibration giving an even quicker engagement of the front differential.

- 14-inch (35.6 cm) cast-aluminum beadlock wheels

Large 14-inch (35.6 cm) cast-aluminum beadlock wheels offer reduced unsprung weight but offers improved strength. The black beadlock wheel is a mechanical fastening device that makes it nearly impossible for the tire to break its bead from the wheel during heavy acceleration or cornering.

- 26-inch (66 cm) ITP Terra Cross tires

Durable 26-inch (66 cm) ITP Terra Cross tires supply versatile traction in both hardpack and soft terrain.

- 214 mm disc brakes with twin-piston calipers

Like all big-bore Outlander ATVs, large front 214 mm disc brakes with twin-piston calipers and two, rear twin-piston calipers with 214 mm hydraulic disc brakes supply stopping power. However, the X xc package includes hand-operated brake levers for controlling the front and rear brakes separately.
