If you’re friends with the Rally in the Pines on Facebook you might have noticed that the event is moving to Salmon, ID, in 2018.
Scheduled for July 12-15, the four-day event will be held in one of the spots near where Lewis & Clark made their way westward as they explored the western United States.
Much like Mackay, ID, the site for the previous several Rally in the Pines events, Salmon is surrounded by mountains. The town is flanked by the Bitterroot Range, Salmon River Mountains and Clearwater Mountains and sits on the Salmon River. There are numerous lakes, streams, rivers and ghost towns in the area, many of which will be highlights of trail rides for next year’s Rally in the Pines.
