Let The Rally Begin

July 2017 Feature

Thursday was a pretty good warm up (hot up? It was in the high 80s) for this year’s Rally in the Pines in Mackay, ID.

All the vendor booths were setup, there were plenty of people (and dirt vehicles) already in town and we spent the afternoon exploring. Or working, depending on how you look at it.

We’re looking forward to guiding the Top of the World ride on Friday (and Saturday) after the Dirt Toys Magazine-sponsored pancake breakfast at the rodeo grounds in Mackay. Sorry, we’re only cooking Friday morning.

Today’s afternoon ride got off to a good start thanks to a great lunch by Camp Chef and the chef for the day, Conor DeWitt. DeWitt was our wing man for the day as we rode up to an unnamed lake high in the mountains. And when we say high, we mean high. The lake sits below 10,000-foot plus mountains.

Part of our crew also went on the Mackay Mine Tour and took in the history of this area.

It’s going to a great several days of riding at the Rally in the Pines.
