Final Day Of Baja Tour: Triste Verlo Terminar

December 2016 Feature Web Exclusive

As we sat in the parking lot of the San Nicholas Hotel in Ensenada late last Monday afternoon, it was hard to believe our Baja California tour was all over.

Riding a little more than 400 miles in three days and from Ensenada to San Felipe and back again—along a fairly circuititous route—was so much fun and such an adventure. From the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of California and back. Wow. We just didn’t want it to end.

Bruce Anderson and his crew from Go Baja/Go Desert Off-Road Riding Tours (www.gobajariding.com) showed us some of the best of what Baja California has to offer.

Our final day’s ride had us leaving Mike’s Sky Rancho and heading toward the Valle de la Trinidad, where we turned west toward the Pacific Ocean. We had a great lunch in San Vicente on the way and rode through the sleepy village of Ejido Erendria and along the Pacific Ocean for miles before heading back inland to Santo Tomas, where we picked up Mexico Highway 1 and took it back to Ensenada.

It was an amazing three days of riding. We will have a couple of stories in upcoming issues of Dirt Toys Magazine.
