Black Hills: The Trifecta Ride

June 2016 Feature, Travel Web Exclusive

We don’t know if all the stars were perfectly aligned or we just had a stroke of great luck or what exactly it was but our ride Monday in the Black Hills of South Dakota was our trifecta ride.

The weather was nearly perfect. The scenery was spectacular. And the trails were so much fun. We went three-for-three on Monday.

A big shout out to Black Hills Off-Road Rentals (http://www.blackhillsoffroadrentals.com) for giving us a Yamaha Wolverine to use for the day and more specifically to Curt Bauer for showing us around.

The Black Hills National Forest is lush and green. Our ride included creek crossings, fun ascents and descents, amazing overlooks—including 6,804-foot tall Custer Peak—and all sorts of trails in the forest.

It was a great first day to our adventure in the Black Hills.
