Do It All With One Machine – Arctic Cat TBX 700 EPS, TBX 700 SE EPS

February 2016 Powersport News

No matter what the job or where the adventure takes you, the Arctic Cat TBX 700 EPS and new TBX 700 Special Edition EPS are two ATVs that get it done with comfort and ease.

The TBX’s versatility starts with its rugged rear dump box, which offers a 300-lb. payload capacity with box tilt latches on both sides and features a pickup-style tailgate latch. With handy tie-down attachments integrated into the box and TBX frame, plus integrated rails that accept accessory clampdown fixtures, the rear cargo box offers nearly unlimited uses for hauling, loading and dumping. The front SpeedRack system offers 100 lbs. of payload with quick and simple accessory attachment options.

Its chassis offers ideal features for work or play: 10 in. of travel on the double- A-arm suspensions, 11 in. of ground clearance, 100-lb. front rack capacity, 1050-lb. towing capacity, plus a longer 58-in. wheelbase gives the TBX the length needed for the rear box.

Powering the TBX is the proven 700 H1 engine, which offers haul-anything performance and great fuel economy thanks to its closed-loop Electronic Fuel Injection system. It’s matched by the Duramatic Automatic transmission with high/low/reverse and park. An electronic 2WD/4WD/differential lock switch on the right hand control eases shifting in/out of 4WD.

For the ultimate in riding performance, the TBX 700 EPS features Arctic Cat’s Variable Assist Electronic Power Steering (EPS) for steering assistance that begins at engine idle and provides significantly reduced steering effort when in 4WD, especially when the differential lock is engaged. The variable assist system is driven by an electronic control unit (ECU) that measures steering input force versus tire resistance and vehicle speed then provides appropriate assist to the steering column through an electric motor. The result is a light steering input effort, but with enough feedback so the rider senses the tire contact patch in relation to the terrain.

With a 5.8-gallon fuel tank, sealed drive shafts and zero-maintenance suspension bushings, the TBX 700 lets you focus on riding rather than wrenching.

The TBX Special Edition offers a massive jump in custom equipment, including a burly front bumper, hand guards, mounted gun scabbard, 3000lb. Warn winch, black cast aluminum wheels and the unique Timber True Camo/Orange Metallic colors.
