BRC Works With BLM To Reopen Trail In Southeast Idaho

August 2015 Powersport News Martin Hackworth, BRC Executive Director

Pocatello, ID - We've all heard it said before, "Once a trail is closed it's never reopened."

This isn't always true.

The BlueRibbon Coalition (BRC) in conjunction with the BLM Field Office in Pocatello, ID, is pleased to announce the reopening of Trail 956 in the Deep Creek Range of Southern Idaho after over a decade of being off limits to motorized use.

Though other trails in the area have also been reopened to motorized use, trail 956 is significant in that it provides motorcycles and ATVs an alternative to the well-used roads of Knox and Big Canyons across the crest of the Deep Creek Range. The views along the portion of the trail near the crest of the rugged and remote Deep Creek Range are spectacular.

This is a win for everyone. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the folks in the BLM Pocatello Field Office for their work on this.

Hopefully this is a harbinger of things to come.
