These are the highlights of the first-wave of 2016 Arctic Cat new model and technical innovations:

* Four Special Edition models built in limited quantities, each featuring a dash-mounted, numbered plaque. Those models are highlighted below:

* HDX 700 SE Hunter Special Edition featuring an electric bed lift; painted aluminum wheels; a 5,000-lb. winch; gun scabbard; and True Timber Camo livery,

* Wildcat X Special Edition featuring aluminum bumpers; color-matched beadlock wheels; roof; and Desert Tan painted bodywork,

* Wildcat Trail Special Edition featuring full doors; color-matched aluminum wheels; and an industry first color combo of True Timber Camo/Orange Metallic,

* TRV 700 Special Edition featuring a 3,000-lb. winch; color-matched aluminum wheels; and the choice of True Timber Camo/Orange Metallic or Black Metallic

* Arctic Cat debuts the new Alterra name on its ATV models (formerly called XR), signifying that All-terrain vehicles should be built for all terrains.

* Alterra 400 and 450 models – Arctic Cat took the brand-new body style and endless capabilities of the full-sized Alterra and adapted them for the more compact 400 and 450 mid-sized models. Featuring new bodywork, racks and headlights these Alterra models are part workhorse, part warrior and are more nimble, lightweight and versatile than the competition.

* The HDX XT is the ultimate working machine. To complement the 2016 HDX 700 XT an all-new 500 is ready to take on the tougher tasks with the bring-it-on body style and automotive-style hood. The payload is the payoff, with an industry-leading, tilting 2-in-1 cargo box converting to a flatbed for 1,000 lbs. of carrying capacity, on top of rugged Fox FLOAT coil-over adjustable shocks (700 only). Side and underhood compartments store your work essentials, while tilt steering and the three-person bench seat are perfect for when your cargo includes a couple extra helping hands.

* Pound for pound, performance is what makes the Wildcat Sport models purr in popularity. A 5 percent increase in engine power derives from an all-new free-flowing exhaust system. All Sport models feature a low center of gravity and high power-to-weight ratio, giving you better acceleration, climbing ability and top-end speed so you can ride in confidence.

* Wildcat X and 4X models stay true to their rugged roots delivering professional performance, but receive all-new Duro PowerGrip tires and an attractive, aggressive price point compared to the competition

* Arctic Cat and SPEED have partnered to bring enthusiasts a vision for the future with a full line of SPEED High Performance Accessories. These accessories are designed to take your passion for Arctic Cat vehicles off the beaten path and are co-developed with the legendary off-road racer, Robby Gordon.

Arctic Cat is offering 32 North American models in its first wave of introductions for 2016 that will be available in September at Arctic Cat dealerships. For more information on the full line of Arctic Cat 2016 ATV and ROV models, visit www.arcticcat.com.
