BRP Unveils Factory-Made Law Enforcement Vehicles

February 2015 Powersport News

Valcourt, Québec – BRP has introduced three new Can-Am off-road vehicle models intended to assist law enforcement and security professionals to carry out their duties in our communities.

“We continue to demonstrate our commitment to supporting law enforcement and security professionals in the line of duty with dependable products to fulfill their vital roles,” said Chris Dawson, vice-president and general manager, Global Sales and Consumer Experience division, “as we did last year when we introduced the Sea-Doo SAR watercraft designed for emergency response operations.”

The Can-Am Outlander L DPS 500, Outlander Max XT 650 all-terrain vehicles and Commander XT 800 side-by-side vehicles are adapted to fulfill the needs of organizations such as police and sheriff departments, border patrols and private security agencies. All units are powered by BRP’s world-renown Rotax engines. These vehicles are now available throughout the Can-Am off-road dealer network across North America.

“These factory-adapted Can-Am off-road vehicles require no other third-party involvement so professionals can just jump on and start their work day,” said Anne Bélec, senior vice-president, Global Brand Strategy and Information Systems. “And because BRP knows how important it is for public organizations to control expenses, we are offering an extensive 12-month limited warranty.”

The law enforcement units come with black painted plastic panels with matte finish, red and blue emergency lighting, 25 selectable flash patterns and an audible warning device. Accessories are activated with integrated hand controls, providing officers greater safety and peace-of-mind when in service.
