Suzuki Unveils 2015 ATV Lineup

Published in the December 2014 Issue December 2014

Redesigned for 2015, the Suzuki King Quad 500 AXi moves to the top of the extremely competitive mid-cc utility ATV class. Starting with the compact 493cc liquid-cooled engine, Suzuki engineers incorporated a new, twin-spark-plug cylinder head for improved combustion efficiency. A multi-hole injector in the Suzuki fuel-injection system delivers a much finer spray, which further increases combustion efficiency.

A new Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system and new catalytic convertor mean the enhanced engine releases cleaner emissions. Finally, a redesigned inner structure of the exhaust silencer gives the updated KingQuad 500 AXi a more robust riding experience, as the engine clears its exhaust more efficiently. All combined, these enhancements help give the engine smoother operation throughout the rev range, producing excellent performance in the mid- to high-rpm range.

The look of the machine is updated for 2015 as well. A rugged front bumper design and new speedometer cover complete the updates to this mid-cc class leader. A new left-side cover allows easier access for checking engine oil level.

Assembled with pride in America at the Suzuki manufacturing facility in Rome, GA, the KingQuad 500 AXi maintains the features that make it a leading performer in handling, rider comfort and ease of use. Front and rear fully independent suspension with pre-load adjustment rings mean handling can be dialed in for the terrain or load. The updated engine is mated with an efficient and fully automatic QuadMatic CVT-type transmission.

The KingQuad 500AXi Power Steering model features a compact and lightweight electric power steering system, which helps to reduce rider fatigue. The components are mounted high on the vehicle to avoid water and debris. On both the Power Steering and non-power steering model, riders can choose 2WD, 4WD, or differential-lock 4WD to suit the riding conditions.

This KingQuad has a long list of features, including hydraulic disc brakes up front with sealed, oil-bathed rear brakes, an info-packed gauge display, Suzuki’s signature T-shaped seat, and a fuel tank well positioned below the seat for better weight distribution.

The Suzuki KingQuad 500 AXi is available in Terra Green and Flame Red for $7,399 and in True Timber XD3 Camouflage for $7,999. The KingQuad 500 AXi Power Steering model comes in Terra Green, and Flame Red for $8,299 and True Timber XD3 camouflage for $8,699.

Key Features of the KingQuad 500 AXi:

• Twin-spark-plug cylinder head has been designed for better combustion.

• Multi-hole fuel injector has been adopted for fine injection spray.

• Inner structure of the exhaust muffler has been changed for improved power feel.

• Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system and catalyst converter have been applied for cleaner emission.

• Compact and lightweight electric power steering delivers lighter steering in a variety of conditions to reduce rider fatigue (KingQuad 500 AXI Power Steering model only).

• 493cc fuel-injected four-valve powerplant features new twin-spark-plug cylinder head for combustion efficiency, fuel economy and efficient power delivery.

• Fully automatic QuadMatic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) uses a durable V-belt.

• Advanced engine-braking system helps the transmission control vehicle speed to minimize freewheel during descents.

• Torque-sensing differential with three modes—2WD, 4WD or differential-locked. 4WD—easily selected with a handlebar-mounted button.

• Fully independent suspension system—A-arm front and A-arm/I-beam rear—features adjustable shocks and delivers superior riding comfort and versatile handling performance.

• Front dual hydraulic disc brakes and rear sealed oil-bathed multi-disc braking system deliver strong and consistent stopping performance.

• Gate-style drive mode selector lever lets the rider easily and securely select between low, high, neutral or reverse setting.

• Fuel tank positioned below the seat helps keep the machine’s weight center low. The tank’s ratcheting gas cap is easy to tighten.

• Complete gauge package, including a speedometer, odometer, separate trip meter, gear and differential displays, clock, fuel gauge, clock and more.

• Updated styling with a redesigned front bumper and gauge cover.

For 2015, the Suzuki KingQuad 750 AXi returns to continue its place as the flagship utility/sport ATV in the KingQuad family. At the heart of this KingQuad is a 722cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve engine that is finely tuned for low-to-mid range torque along with a powerful high-rpm output. Electronic fuel injection delivers excellent throttle response and fuel efficiency, while delivering power consistently.

The KingQuad 750 AXi Power Steering model features a compact and lightweight electric power steering system, which senses steering torque due to changing terrain and applies the correct amount of steering assistance to reduce rider fatigue. The components are mounted high on the vehicle to avoid water and debris. On both the power steering and non-power steering models, riders can choose 2WD, 4WD or differential-lock 4WD to suit the riding conditions.

The KingQuad 750 AXi features a front and rear fully independent suspension with pre-load adjustment rings that allow riders to easily adjust the suspension setup for varied operating conditions. The updated engine is mated with an efficient and fully automatic QuadMatic CVT-type transmission.

The Suzuki KingQuad 750 AXi comes in Terra Green or Flame Red for a retail price of $8,899, and in a True Timber XD3 camouflage version for $9,299. A Limited Edition model in Metallic Matte Royal Gray will be available for 2015 for a retail price of $9,899. The KingQuad 750 AXi Power Steering model comes in Terra Green and Flame Red for $9,499 and True Timber XD3 camouflage for $9,999.

No matter the job, the 2015 Suzuki KingQuad 400 ASi and KingQuad 400 FSi are ready and willing to tackle it.

Both these KingQuad ATVs feature fuel-injected 376cc four-stroke, four-valve engines with new cam profiles and inner structures of the muffler (for more powerful and efficient performance). Suzuki’s class-leading fuel injection contributes to smooth power output, especially, in the mid-to-high range, as well as more consistent cold starts. The fuel-injection system uses 3-D ignition maps for optimum ignition, targeting a responsive yet environmentally-efficient performance.

The KingQuad 400 ASi uses Suzuki’s technically advanced QuadMatic transmission—a fully automatic, CVT with high-low range and reverse. Its advanced engine-braking system minimizes free-wheeling with the throttle off and helps control the vehicle during steep descents.

A five-speed manual transmission with automatic clutch makes the KingQuad 400 FSi a performer for those riders who prefer the personal control of a foot-shift transmission. The KingQuad 400 ASi and KingQuad 400 FSi are assembled in America at the Suzuki manufacturing facility in Rome, GA.

The Suzuki KingQuad 400 ASi and 400 FSi models are offered in Terra Green and Flame Red for a retail price of $6,499. Both are also available in True Timber XD3 camouflage at a price of $6,899.

The 2015 Suzuki QuadSport Z90 is the perfect ATV for a young rider to learn how to properly operate an ATV and have fun while doing so. The compact 90cc 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine is designed for durability and low maintenance. A smooth-running CVT automatic transmission provides easy operation and allows the rider to focus on riding instead of shifting. Suzuki’s QuadSport Z90 is designed for adult-supervised riders age 12 and older and includes many features that make learning to ride a safe and fun experience.

Standard equipment includes convenient features such as an automatic transmission and right-sized controls. The QuadSport Z90 features electric starting system plus a standard backup recoil starter. The QuadSport Z90 comes in white at a suggested retail price of $2,899.
