Finding Fun At Lost River Rally In The Pines

Published in the October 2014 Issue October 2014

Hundreds of off-road enthusiasts found plenty of fun at the Lost River Valley Rally in the Pines, held this past July in Mackay, ID.

Mackay, a small town located in central Idaho, hosted the rally, which was sponsored by BAM Media Productions, producers of Powersports Adventures.

“We were so pleased that more than 250 people joined us the very first year for the Lost River Rally In The Pines,” Meg Allen, one of the event’s organizers and partner in BAM Media Productions, said. “The rides that were set up were fantastic and were a real highlight of the event, especially the Mine Hill Tour ride led by the Mayor of Mackay, Wayne Olsen, and the Long Lost Creek ride lead by Rob Scarr of UTV Tech. And, of course, the Mega Fun Run hosted by Dirt Toys Magazine was another highlight. Everyone on the Fun Run had a great time and a big thank you to Dirt Toys for all their hard work setting it up; plus, a big thank you to Sedona Tires for the Fun Run grand prize of a set of tires and wheels.”

As Allen mentioned, we here at Dirt Toys were involved with the Mega Fun Run, which was held on the Saturday of the three-day event. Camp Chef, Western Power Sports (Sedona Tires), Rocky Mountain ATV/MC and Klim all donated prizes to the Mega Fun Run, which attracted more than a hundred riders and took place all along the Mine Hill Tour trail.

There were plenty of other events that took place over the three days, in addition to all the rides in the beautiful mountains of central Idaho.

“We would like to invite everyone to come and ride at next year’s Lost River Rally In The Pines, which will be held Aug. 10-12, 2015,” Allen said. “We are already planning new rides, contests and activities.”
