Not Often You Get To See This Side Of Racing

November 2013 Powersport News

Not too long ago we stopped by the Holz Racing Products shop in Lynden, WA, to visit with owner Mark Holz and get caught up on snowmobiling, dirt toys and just about everything else.

During our visit, Holz offered to show us his "race shop," where he keeps Coastal Racing's race vehicles between events. While there we got to see something you just don't get to see very often: a stripped down race buggy-in this case Coastal Racing's Polaris XP 900.

Holz tells us that after every race, the racer is stripped down to the frame and everything cleaned and gone over before being reassembled and prepped for the next race.

When we saw the Coastal Racing XP 900, it was stripped down prior to the Baja 1000-which starts tomorrow.

If you want to see Coastal Racing's race machine in full skin, you can follow the race at Or visit Coastal Racing's website at

For the Baja 1000, Coastal Racing's team includes: Scott Kiger, Mt. Morris, PA, Mark Holz, Lynden, WA, and R.J. Anderson, Riverside, CA.
