Polaris Launches Two Off-Roading Tracks In India

Polaris India Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Polaris Industries Inc., has announced the launch of two off-road circuits in Bengaluru in association with Play in Sarjapur and Target Games & Facilities Pvt. Ltd. in Yeshwanthpur, India.

AKB Motors, an official dealer of Polaris vehicles, has provided all the vehicles to Play and Target Games & Facilities Pvt. Ltd. and also caters the 3S concept-sales, spare parts and service-to customers in India's Southern region.

"Bengaluru has a rich racing culture and has a wide variety of terrains, hence the off-road vehicle segment has the potential for growth," said Pankaj Dubey, managing director of Polaris India Pvt. Ltd. "We are pleased to start Polaris Experience Zone with Play and Target Games & Facilities to offer off-road motor experience to motorsports lovers in Bengaluru. Southern India is an important market for us as it contributes majorly toward our growth story in India and hence is strategic for us. We foresee huge interest and potential in this market and plan to introduce more off-road tracks in southern India. We plan to increase the number of such tracks from 13 to 25 by this year's end.

Sprawled over an area of approximately 30,000 square feet, the Sarjapur off-road track offers a chance to explore the outdoors in a new, exciting way. Twelve Polaris vehicles including an Outlaw 50, Sportsman 90, RZR 170, Phoenix 200, Sportsman 400 and RZR S 800, will be available for use on the tracks. The track consists of mounts, climbs, axle breakers, a water pit and side inclined slopes. The off-road entertainment zone will have state-of-the-art hospitality facilities, a workshop, first aid, training classes and other amusement areas to help families have some outdoor fun.

The Yeshwanthpur track offers ORV experiences for families and novice riders over a 20,000-square-foot area. Five Polaris ATVs-a Sportsman 90, RZR 170, Scrambler 500, Sportsman 400 and Sportsman 500-are available for use on the tracks to give everyone an exhilarating off-road experience. Riders can enjoy the thrill of offroading and a sense of discovery as they maneuver through the dirt track with slush pits, humps, sand and stones all on a complete dirt terrain that provides the full mud and dirt experience.
