Our Own Personal Mud Nationals

Either you love mud or you hate it. That's what we've found in talking to other ATVers. Count us in the group who love to ride in the mud.

Normally, in August in the northcentral/west side of Montana, there isn't a lot of mud in August as the trails dry up, creating a lot of dust. So it was somewhat of a surprise when we headed to the Bull Run Guest Ranch to test ride the new Polaris Sportsman XP 850 H.O. and it was raining. An unusually moist storm was overhead, turning the trails into ribbons of mud.

What a great time. And the mud was sticky and thick and clung to the machine like paste. We didn't envy the poor Polaris guys who had to clean the machines after our ride but we tried not to think of that as we blasted along the trails, flinging mud in almost all directions.
