Long-Term Review: Polaris RZR 570

Trail Machine That's Bursting With Value

Ride Impressions

The RZR 570 surprised us on our initial ride last summer. We were more than impressed with the power output from the single-cylinder engine. It has great response and strong bottom-end acceleration. Polaris touts that the 570 can go from 0 to 35 mph in 4.0 seconds. That's pretty quick.

We picked up our own RZR 570 early this winter and have been able to ride it in every condition from snow to sand, desert to mountain trails. And each time, we come away very happy with the performance and ride.

Polaris RZR 570We've seen time and time in the past where a manufacturer releases a smaller-displacement model of an existing lineup and scales the suspension components way back to cut production costs. The result is usually a vehicle that easily out-rides its own suspension capabilities.

The RZR 570's suspension more than handles a day's worth of any terrain the vehicle can reach. That's a big plus in our book. The 570 corners flat and handles very well. It reminds us of the first ride we had in the RZR 800 when it was first released. You know, the holy cow, this thing is fun! feeling.

Another of the 570's big hits: fuel economy. The single cylinder engine gets incredibly good mileage. And when you factor in the fact that doing some long-distance cross-country ride like the one we took the 570 on in this issue doesn't require the biggest, baddest engine you can get, investing in a UTV like the 570 pays off every time you stop for gas.

Polaris RZR 570We wish the RZR 570 came with the plastic glove box on the passenger side, but the rear storage tray is big enough to add a cargo box or strap in a cooler. We also added a rear view mirror and roof to our RZR 570. It's also easy to add a winch or other accessories. The RZR's multi-vehicle platform has allowed Polaris to build a large offering of accessories to customize the RZR to suit your needs.

And with a price tag of $9,999, the RZR 570 is one side-by-side that makes you feel as good about buying it as you feel about driving it.
