April 2012 Powersport News

Rhinelander, WI - The Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest's All Terrain Vehicle (ATV), motor bike, horse and mountain bike trails will be opened for use as of May1. This opening is for all Forest Service jurisdiction trails. Trails in the Bayfield County area are open as of April 27.

The new Motor Vehicle Use Map (MVUM) is also now available on line at http://www.fs.fed.us/r9/cnnf. Hard copies of the MVUM will be available for free in all offices as of mid-May. The MVUM is the map that shows users where it is legal to ride.

The Forest Service reminds riders to ride responsibly and do not ride in areas that are too wet. Doing so may cause long term resource damage.
