Rome, GA - Suzuki is donating a new all-terrain vehicle to the Floyd County Sheriff's Posse after authorities say they realized the need for an ATV after tornadoes struck the area in May.

The Rome News-Tribune reports that the ATV will be used primarily to maneuver through wooded areas in search of missing persons and during emergencies.

Floyd County Sheriff Tim Burkhalter said rescuers could have used the vehicle after the May tornado to reach remote places in the northwest Georgia county.
