“It is with great excitement that we bring in Spencer as the next executive director,” stated Todd Ockert, ST/BRC president. “He has a tremendous drive and ambition to move us into the future. As the president, I have a renewed energy to work with Spencer and the ideas he brings on our path forward with our members and partners.”

Gilbert has already assumed his duties as executive director, and is moving ST/BRC in new and exciting directions for the benefit of recreation access.

“I am inspired by Spencer’s vision for the future,” Mary Jo Foster, ST/BRC administrative director, said. “Without a doubt, these next few months will be challenging but the opportunities for a stronger, better ST/BRC are well worth it.”

Gilbert takes over the reins of ST/BRC from Del Albright, who had assumed the role of interim executive director after the departure of Martin Hackworth. Albright has been with the coalition for more than two decades, and his willingness to step up for a second time was greatly appreciated.
