Sand Action Intensifies At Idaho Dunes UTV Invasion

September 2016 Powersport News, Feature Web Exclusive

As more duners rolled into the St. Anthony Dunes in eastern Idaho for the Idaho Dunes UTV Invasion, the action intensified as people partook in the myriad of activities available on and off the sand.

There was the Can-Am Maverick X3 demo ride, EVO Shootout sand drags, the Rugged Relay (the driver is blindfolded and his partner—using Rugged Radios—coaches the driver through an obstacle course), Super ATV Show N Shine, group rides on the dunes and Boondocker night ride. There was also the Proline Wraps’ teeter totter competition.

The weather kind of went to heck on Sunday but it was good up until then.

Chris Martin, Roseburg, OR, (red vehicle) won the Weekend Warrior class in the Show N Shine while Jon Wolf of Wolf Designs (green vehicle) won the Builders class. In the teeter totter competition, Steve “Crazy” Watson from California’s Bay area won.
