Kawasaki Unveils 2017 Lineup With Several New Models

Early this morning, Kawasaki announced its 2017 model lineup, which features several new models, including the all-new Mule SX family.

2017 Kawasaki Mule SX Family

Kawasaki introduces the new Mule SX family of side-by-sides, featuring a variety of compact, lightweight models that are capable, durable and reliable, and packed with value.

Size doesn’t always matter, but dependability, durability and strength always does. The newest member of the Mule family, the Mule SX side-by-side is the little brother with many Mule PRO family styling cues. Like the little brother in the family, it’s here to prove it’s much stronger than its size may convey. Designed to be compact, small enough to fit into the bed of most full-size pickup trucks, but built with the strength and durability that Kawasaki Mule side-by-sides are known for. The Mule SX can work hard and play hard, get into more compact places and do almost as much as its larger counterparts. The Mule SX is available in six configurations, starting with the standard SX two-wheel-drive model up to the XC options.

The Mule SX 4x4 XC is designed with campers, hunters and explorers in mind, with a camouflage option that helps you to blend into your surroundings when venturing into the woods or hunting. All XC models feature 4x4, bigger 12-inch wheels, and 26-inch tires providing more ground clearance and new more aggressive, wider tread.

The Mule SX 4x4 XC SE is feature packed for an even more comforts, convenience and style. It includes aluminum wheels, a sun top, underseat compartment and four LED headlights for times when you need the light the path home … or maybe the path deeper into exploration.

The pickup-truck style front hood, front grill and headlamp design were modeled after the Mule PRO Series, the flagship models in the Mule lineup. These styling cues give the Mule SX models a tough, rugged appearance. The compact headlights, similar to those found on the Kawasaki Teryx and Teryx4 side-by-sides, also contribute to modern styling.

The dash on all of the models has been redesigned to give it more automotive styling while also making access to the controls more driver friendly.

The Mule SX 4x4 XC SE model features four high-intensity LED lamps, while the XC Camo features two LED lamps, both resulting in high-quality looks.

A large-tube steel front bumper is a standard feature, positioned close to the body to give it a highly integrated look. Large fender flares and mud flaps add to the voluminous design while helping to keep mud and rocks from hitting the color molded bodywork.

2017 Kawasaki Teryx and Teryx4

For the family looking to spend time together outdoors or the group of friends looking for an adventure, the Kawasaki Teryx and Teryx4 side-by-sides provide the ultimate vehicle for fun on the trail. Assembled in Lincoln, NE, out of domestic and imported parts, the Teryx and Teryx4 side-by-sides are versatile enough to provide thrills for the whole family on the trails with standard Electric Power Steering (EPS), a 783cc V-twin engine combined with Fox Podium 2.0 suspension and rugged enough to help out with chores with plenty of torque and 1,300 lbs. of towing capacity with a optional draw bar.

The Teryx and Teryx4 side-by-sides are built strong to take playing hard to the next level. The aggressive front end styling and polished 14-inch cast aluminum wheels (LE models) join a roomy cockpit on the Double X frame to help you comfortably and confidently conquer the trails.

Three Models

Both the two-seat Teryx side-by-side and the four-seat Teryx4 side-by-side are available in three different levels of specification. All feature the same combination of a powerful, reliable engine, selectable four-wheel drive, durable, tough chassis, sporty suspension and all-round versatility and fun.

The base model for both are the Kawasaki Teryx side-by-side and the Kawasaki Teryx4 side-by-side, which are equipped with the advanced Electric Power Steering to help the ease steering at lower speeds and reduce bump steer at on rough terrain. The base models are available in Super Black.

The Teryx LE and Teryx4 LE models incorporate everything on the base model, while adding lightweight 14-inch cast aluminum wheels for extra style. These wheels are fitted with 27-inch Maxxis Bighorn tires to give the driver confidence in cornering, outstanding performance in rough terrain and a more comfortable ride.

In addition, the Teryx LE and Teryx4 LE models boast four powerful LED headlights and a hard sun top to help protect the occupants from the elements. The Brute Force 750 4x4i ATV uses the same sturdy frame and rugged bodywork as the 750 4x4i EPS models, and while it does not have Electric Power Steering, it features the same powerful V-twin engine, flexible four-wheel drive system and limited-slip front differential. The Brute Force 750 4x4i is built to help the rider accomplish any job with a front cargo rack able to carry 88 lbs. and a capacity of up to 176 lbs. on the rear rack. Furthermore, all Brute Force 750 4x4i models are capable of towing up to 1250 lbs. with an integrated truck-style 2-inch receiver.
